Welcome to Keneset HaLev!

We are an inclusive community which provides an intimate, joyous, supportive, and nurturing environment where Jewish spiritual practice is allowed to flourish.

We take an independent, post-denominational, heart-centered, and mystical approach. Our goal is to experience the Jewish spirit in ways that are personally meaningful and life-enhancing, enabling us to see the Old Ways with new eyes, and opening our hearts and minds to the possibility of embracing previously unfamiliar or unknown traditions.

Post-denominational Judaism is defined as "a community that uses several forms of Jewish practice without formal affiliation with the movements that originated them." We are an inclusive community that welcomes all, regardless of Jewish background. We take practices from the Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Chassidic, Renewal and Reconstructionist movements but are affiliated with none of them. We also are post-denominational in that we have members who might affiliate themselves to one or more of those movements but are in community with others who would not affiliate with those movements.

Keneset HaLev provides spiritual classes and workshops covering Jewish practice and wisdom. Our monthly Shabbat gatherings are filled with song, stories, meditation, and spirit.

Read a brief essay, "Explanation of God Language: What is G-d's Name?"

Keneset HaLev is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, and we gratefully accept charitable donations of any size.
