"Pesach Sheni teaches us that 'Nothing is ever lost: it's never too late!'

Our conduct can always be rectified. Even someone who was far away and even desired to be so, can still correct himself."

~ 4/26 Moshiach Seder: Honoring the Midwives ~

When Pharoah ordered that the firstborn Hebrew sons be murdered at birth, two midwives refused, and saved the people who “multiplied and increased greatly” in spite of the decree. Midwives hold a place of honor in Jewish culture, partly because of this first biblical act of civil disobedience.

Celebrate their bravery -- and ours in helping birth a better future -- as we revive Keneset HaLev's tradition of the Moshiach Seder. Who better to honor on the last night of an 8-day festival of freedom and rebirth? Join the KHL community, Maggid Jonathan Furst, and special guest midwives and doulas.

Saturday, April 26, 6pm

Bring:

  • Vegetarian Passover-kosher potluck item
  • Friends
  • Inspirational items for the midwives’ seder plate (or other art/ritual objects), if you feel so moved
